Our Aeron line-up includes four colours inspired by the elements, three sizes and two stool heights.

A more inclusive chair - Aeron’s three sizes – A, B and C – were precisely designed to welcome a wide range of body types. Most ergonomic chairs accommodate people in the fifth to 95th percentile, but we believe an even broader range of individuals deserve a chair that fits them: everything from the backrest height, to the seat width, to the tilt mechanism, all the way down to the size of the base. There’s an Aeron suited to nearly everyone, from the first to the 99th percentile

A pioneering design moves forward - Ergonomic to the core, Aeron was designed for a wide range of body types, thanks to the extensive research from designers Bill Stumpf and Don Chadwick. Its launch in 1994 was pioneering in the office furniture industry – and it still is, thanks to updated research and material innovation. The Aeron ‘Classic’ was ‘Remastered’ in 2016 to include a more refined tilt mechanism, adjustable PostureFit SL and 8Z Pellicle suspension material. In 2021 ocean-bound plastic was added to the body of the chair. We've always known Aeron is good for our bodies – now it’s just as good for our environment too. 

Where comfort meets support - The Aeron Chair is the benchmark for ergonomic seating since its debut in 1994. Since then, Herman Miller has learned a lot about how to best support people – and their postures. Aeron offers smarter weight distribution through 8Z Pellicle, adjustable PostureFit SL for total spinal support, and balanced recline and natural movement thanks to Harmonic 2 Tilt.

Designed for the elements - Aeron is available in a palette of four meticulously curated material expressions centred on elements pulled from the earth. Onyx is a dramatic ultra-black shade intended to modernise Aeron. Graphite is a distinctive dark grey, with a classic textured finish. Carbon offers a balanced neutral that works equally well in warm and cool environments. Mineral is the lightest and illuminates Aeron's finer points, ideal for open floor plans and spaces. Each component of the chair was thoughtfully designed, creating a fundamentally harmonious colour palette.

Sustainable from the start - Aeron’s legacy of sustainability and innovation continues since its introduction nearly 30 years ago. It proved pioneering in both ergonomics and material innovation, without relying on the standard use of foam, fabric or leather found in most office chairs at the time. It’s also our first product to receive the industry-leading Cradle to Cradle V3 Silver Level certification. Aeron is composed of more than 50% recycled material – and now, we’ve added ocean-bound plastic, diverting more than 150 metric tons of plastic from the ecosystem every year.*

Aeron® Work Chair & Stool Features

• Three Sizes – A, B or C for the right fit, with slight variations from the backrest height, seat width, tilt mechanism – all the way down to the size of the base.
• 8Z Pellicle® offers unprecedented comfort through first-of-its-kind elastomeric suspension, with eight varied zones of support, eliminating pressure points that restrict circulation and keeping you.
• Harmonic 2 Tilt helps the chair move with you thanks to an innovative tilt mechanism under the seat.
• PostureFit SL supports the sacral region to nurture the natural S-shape of the spine and activate a healthful posture. A secondary pad adds support to the lumbar region. (available to order with an adjustable lumbar support)
• Fully Adjustable Arms with adjustable height, pivoting arm pads and forward & backward movement of the arm pads
• Pneumatic Height Adjustment (available to order with a higher or lower height range on the chair)
• Footrest with height adjustment and treads on the stool
• 5 Star Base on 65mmØ castors for carpet (available to order with hard floor castors)
• Aeron chairs are tested and warranted for use by persons 160kg and under.
