Created for outdoor use, this balanced collection comprises 13 different furniture typologies that all share the same principle geometry. The collection has been developed over the course of two years by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec for HAY. It grew from a period of research at their studio into outdoor furniture typologies. The Palissade collection is visually light yet reassuringly strong; it is classical in form and simple in construction.

Each individual piece has been carefully engineered to hold the body in perfect balance. There are almost imperceptible, but significant changes to the angles, curves and the juxtaposition between the frame and slats in each different typology. The design itself provides comfort and elegance, while the colour palette of light grey, anthracite and olive allow the pieces to be at home in both natural landscapes and urban settings.
