With its long, low profile, the Eames Wire Base Elliptical Table sits dramatically in front of a long sofa or at the centre of a chair grouping. It sets a striking stage for displaying mid-century fat lava vases, fresh flowers, magazines or a special book in a living room, waiting room, reception area or executive lounge. 

A smooth expanse

The Eames Wire Base Elliptical Table’s surface length provides an expansive arc that lets you spread out or display items — as many or as few as you like.

Superb craftsmanship

The tabletop consists of a seven-ply Baltic birch core sandwiched between high-pressure black or white laminate. The edge is bevelled on an angle to give the top added emphasis.

Signature base

The wire-rod base design is a signature Eames look. The rods can be zinc-plated or powder-coated black or white to coordinate with the top you choose.

Responsible design

The wire-rod base design is a mark of the Eameses’ signature designs and our material specification process ensures that this piece endures physically as much as it does aesthetically. For the chrome table base option, we now use a plating process called trivalent chrome plating, which greatly reduces the environmental and health issues associated with the traditional hexavalent chrome process. An added benefit is that the trivalent process produces plating that is more uniform. You may also coordinate the top you choose with powder-coated black or white base options.
