Bertjan Pot

Bertjan Pot (b. 1975, the Netherlands) is an industrial designer who embraces the discoveries that result from material experimentation. Guided by a playful fascination with technique, structure, pattern, and colour, Pot often uses simple components and processes to create intricate objects including lights, woven masks, seats, tables, and textiles. A graduate of Design Academy Eindhoven, Pot has collaborated with Established & Sons, Moooi, and Nike, among others, and his work can be found in London's Victoria and Albert Museum; MoMA in New York; and Amsterdam's Stedelijk Museum.

Designcraft is excited to announce the addition of the iconic Knoll range to our portfolio. Knoll is behind many of the 20th Century’s most memorable modernist furniture design pieces, representing a natural addition to the Designcraft range. Knoll collaborated with influential designers including Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Eero Saarinen, and Harry Bertoia to produce iconic and timeless pieces such as the Barcelona Chair, the Wassily Chair, the Womb Chair, the Tulip Chair, the Cesca Chair, and the Saarinen table series.

Designcraft presents Consolidate, an exhibition of unique work by some of our creative and highly skilled makers. Running from 1Nov - 20 Dec 2024, Consolidate responds to the question of what can be made from materials that would otherwise go unused—factory offcuts, bits and bobs, things that might easily be discarded. The answer is a stunning collection of work that is variously beautiful, intricate, refined, functional, and unconventional.

Earlier this month Designcraft hosted an event to celebrate becoming an Authorised MillerKnoll dealer, bringing a total of eight MillerKnoll brands exclusively to the Canberra region. Recognising the shared legacy, innovation and commitment to sustainability that define the MillerKnoll collective, the night also welcomed our two newest brands – Knoll and Maharam Rugs. Designcraft are proud to represents the largest and most diverse range of authentic and iconic furniture in Canberra and as the only authorised dealer of eight MillerKnoll collective brands, bringing these exclusive to Canberra being: Herman Miller, HAY, Knoll, Muuto, Geiger, and NaughtOne and Colebrook Bosson Saunders and Maharam Rugs.

Linie Design was founded in 1980 by Keld Agerskov and Hugo Anthon, with the ambition of creating handmade rugs that would merge Danish design and innovation with traditional Indian craftsmanship. Jesper Christiansen and Kenneth Nielsen joined in 1999, and they own the company today, continuing to run Linie Design based on the core values it was established with -  with decency, innovation and craftsmanship still pervading every aspect of the business.
